PromptTrail is a browser extension that adds a local prompt navigator to ChatGPT and Claude.
PromptTrail reads user-sent message text from the currently open ChatGPT or Claude conversation so it can display those messages in the PromptTrail sidebar. This processing happens locally in the browser.
PromptTrail does not send conversation text, account information, or browsing activity to the developer or to any external server.
PromptTrail stores only whether its sidebar is open or closed for each supported site using Chrome's local extension storage. It does not store conversation content in Chrome storage, a database, cookies, or an external service.
PromptTrail does not sell, share, analyze, or monetize user data. It does not include analytics, advertising, tracking pixels, remote code, or third-party services.
The extension runs only on chatgpt.com, chat.openai.com, and claude.ai because those are the sites where its navigator is displayed.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be included with the extension release. For questions about PromptTrail, contact the publisher through the Chrome Web Store developer contact shown on the listing.
